Hand injuries are common when you get involved in sports and fitness activities. Everyday activities can also damage these ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Soft-tissue injuries are namely Sprains, strains, contusions, tendonitis, bursitis, stress injuries. Common symptoms like pain, redness or bruising, swelling, stiffness and loss of function.

Soft tissue injury Treatment compromise of RICE i.e. rest (R), ice packs (I), compression (C) and elevation (E). Ice features will assist to reduce pain and inflammation in the first 24 to 48 hours. Compression with a bandage and elevation will also contribute towards a reduction in swelling and the extremity must be raised above heart level. Serious structures damage may need immobilization in a splint.

Another treatment is IASTM- Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization: In this procedure light gel film is spread over injured skin. Then press and move the instrument around the site to locate restrictions. Treatment breaks down scar tissue and encourages the body to remodel the underlying tissue. During treatment, smaller capillaries in the area are broken. Bruising is a normal response, signifying that a healing cascade is underway.
